This workshop focuses on cultivated meat's production cost trajectory โ€” the most pivotal and tractable question for animal welfare funding decisions. See the workshop overview for full context and resources.

We're planning for late April or very early May 2026. Please indicate your availability below โ€” we'll confirm the exact date once we hear from key participants.

When Could You Join?

All fields in this section are optional โ€” use whichever is easiest. Even a rough sense of your availability helps.

Just tell us when you're free from mid-April to early May. We'll find the best overlap across everyone. Include your time zone if it's not obvious.

Or mark your availability on the grid (optional โ€” click to expand)

Click cells for any time blocks you could join. Click a date to select that row, a time header to select that column, or a week label to select the whole week. All times US Eastern; hover for UK/CET.

Tip: You don't need to fill in the grid if you've described your availability above โ€” either or both is fine.

Which Potential Segments Interest You?

All fields in this section are optional. You don't need to attend the full session โ€” indicate your interest in passive or active participation for each segment. Click โ˜† to cycle through priority levels: โ˜… (interested) or โ˜…โ˜… (high priority). (more about each segment)

TEA Landscape: Where Do They Disagree? (~40 min): Walking through the optimistic-to-pessimistic spectrum (Pasitka โ†’ CE Delft โ†’ Humbird). Which assumptions drive the 10x cost gap? What's changed since 2022?
Crux 1: Media Costs & Growth Factors (~45 min): The biggest variable cost. GFI's amino acid data vs Humbird's assumptions. Will hydrolysates replace purified growth factors? Realistic media costs per kg by 2036.
Crux 2: Bioreactors, Scale-Up & Cell Density (~40 min): Pharma-grade vs food-grade vs custom-built. Achievable cell densities at scale. Batch vs continuous perfusion. The gap between TEA projections and commercial reality.
CM_01 Beliefs & Synthesis (~40 min): Given the discussion, what will CM cost per kg in 2031, 2036, 2051? Structured beliefs elicitation. Where do we agree/disagree? What research would have highest value of information?
